one more question...
How did you get your DC to drink out of a sippy cup?
My DD just likes to chew on the nub/straw part (I have both and have tried both). I have squeezed it to bring the water up the straw, and she'll drink it only if I squeeze it or tilt the cup (for the nub style), otherwise she thinks it's a chew toy. I don't know what else to do.

Honestly, it took months for DD to really show an interest in the sippy cup. I think it just takes time. Hang in there!

I just kept offering it to him and finally he started to take to it. Just keep trying. Also, try different types.

I just gave it to DS and he figured it out right away. Within a minute or 2 he put it into his mouth and starting sucking the water up through the straw.

This. It took a couple of different ones, to find one that DD liked and would use.

one more question...
I used playtex grippers with the straw and it took my dd mo ths to figure it out. Then when she did she used to spit the water out all over herself. That lasted another month or 2 and then finally she got that she shouls drink the water.
Be patient she willget it eventually. Just keep giving it to her every day multie times a day
