counting baby's movement?
saw dr last night and they said to start counting
the paper handout they gave me said to lay down for 2 hours on your left side and count….I had a mental image of just in the middle of work saying sorry guys, i need to lay down for 2 hours and count movement
did you guys log it? not even other counting?
I feel her all throughout the day shifting and moving around so do I count how many punches I feel or how many actual times I feel her roll around?

my doctor never had me count movement with my last pregnancy - did your doctor tell you why they want you to do this?

No way, that would drive me nuts! My doctor said to just make sure I feel him morning, noon, and night. You start to get a feel for what's normal movement. I was told if I didn't feel him in a while to drink some juice and lay down in a quiet room. If still nothing. go to hospital. I was never told to do kick counts and I was seeing high risk drs!

I'm 32 weeks and haven't heard from my doctor that I have to do this.

no they didn't and this is the office I see for GD (Madonna). my regular OB never said to do it
I hear what you gals saying…weird that some dr.'s say to count and others don't

As of my last appt at 35w, I still have not been told to count kicks. They just ask if she's active, which she most definitely is.
ETA: I see a high risk dr.

I was told to count movements starting at 28 weeks- I am
Suppose to count for one hour twice a day- I usually do the counts when I first wake up and when I go to sleep. I was told to count four movements in an hour son it never takes me very long.

They never told me to count or pay attention. They always asked me if she moved regularly and that was it.
