DW - PO Riverside Royal Rooms

Do they have mini-fridges in the rooms?

The amenities section doesn't list it but the floor plan I found online shows it. Just wanted to check. Thanks!!!

Anyone ever stay in one of the Royal Rooms? How were they? We stayed at PO Riverside on our last trip but we were in a regular room in Alligator Bayou.

Yes they have fridges, all Disney resorts have them now :) Never stayed there, not a fan of all the internal bus stops to be honest. BUT, the theming of the Royal Rooms looks so nice!

It does look so nice. My DD is completely obsessed with all of the Disney Princesses so I thought this room would be so awesome for her. She will flip out!!

Well they aren't listed as an amenity because they were NOT in the rooms for several months. WDW issued a recall on all of their fridges except some suite and villas I think. It took a few months to get them back into the rooms. You should have one...if you are concerned some say requesting one helps. I swore I read that they had all been replaced by Nov or so at POR. Anyway they took it off the list bc people got there didn't have one and demanded one or $ for their inconvenience. I think it took a while bc of all the rooms that had to be replaced.

Actually we loved the Mansion bus stop for MK it stops there before the South depot so we always got onto an almost empty bus with May 5 or 6 people on it.

When are you going? We switched away from the royal rooms to preferred view bc they are doing construction on the roof in Oak manor for 6 months. So if you are going soon make sure to request and fax request to not be near the construction.

Really loved riverside. Very nice. Rent a boat one day! Tons of fun and you can zip down to downtown Disney.

We are going either mid Nov before Thanksgiving or first week in December. I want the kids to see all the holiday decorations but I don't want to deal with crowds. Hopefully that construction is done by then.

I absolutely LOVED the royal rooms. When I first walked in I literally gasped. It was incredible. I am obsessed with the faucets and want them in my home SO bad.
Fridges are not listed for all rooms because of all of the issues they have been having with the recall. They have all been replaced at this time.

Have you read the port orleans riverside unofficial site. Lots of pictures, great info, including a full room number maps, also monthly guide that lists activities and movies.

We stayed there in august in a royal room. The bus stops were annoying. The resort is huge with a ton of walking. The food is good, the resort was spotless, very nice pool.

I would go back....It was nice to be able to get on the boat to downtown disney right at the park.
