My husband has the flu
He has been sick since Friday night, I made him go to urgent care because he has a fever. They just tested and he has the flu.
I'm freaking out. I don't know what to do. I am 38 weeks and two days. I did not get a flu shot, I have never had one and my dr didn't tell me to get one.
They gave him a rx Tamiflu and he is going to go stay at his moms for a couple of days. What can I do?

First I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. Second I'm shocked your dr wouldn't tell you to get a flu shot being pregnant during winter.
Happy he is staying at his moms. I would spray Lysol, disinfect whatever you can. Wash your sheets. Etc. Hope he gets better soon.

Sending hugs, that sucks! I would disinfect around as much as you can and then just try not to stress. Glad he is going elsewhere for a few days, maybe call your OB tomorrow to see if they have any additional suggestions?

I think they prescribe Tamiflu for anyone who has been in contact with someone infected. It's also safe during pregnancy, so I would call your OB and see if they want to give it to you. Esp since the baby can come at any day at this point

My husband has the flu
DH got the flu - I caught it :(
With Tamiflu, I felt better in a couple days. I'd call the dr and see what they say.

My husband has the flu
Update:
I called my dr and he said to disinfect and stay away from my husband (which I have). He didn't want to give me Tamiflu because I didn't have any symptoms. I have a regular appt tomorrow so I will talk to him again.
I feel ok, just have a bit of a cough and a scratchy throat but I think it might be in my head because I'm neurotic.
I miss my husband though :( he feels better and no fever today.

Re: My husband has the flu
No advice besides what the others have said, but you should go get a flu shot now. You can still give protection to your baby and yourself for the rest of flu season.
