Congratulations on your pregnancy. Most OB's will not see you until you are eight weeks. There is not much a doctor can do this early on aside from a blood test to confirm pregnancy. Try to relax and enjoy this time. It is easy to over analyze everything but stress is not good for you or your baby.

Congratulations!
Try not to think about every little thing you feel. Much of it is normal.
Most doctors will not see you until 8 weeks. As the above poster said, at this point there isn't anything they can do.
Try to relax and be positive.
I had brown spotting starting around 4 weeks. I am now 10 1/2 weeks along.
Good luck and congratulations !

i am 5 weeks and have had cramping and spotting. i am seeing my ob on tuesday. i know i wont be able to see much or even see a heartbeat but i'm just so nervous because i never had this my first pregnancy. i want them to do bloodwork and a sono just to check.
i called my office and spoke to the dr and they put me in.
i know it will put my mind more at ease.
maybe see if your doc will see you earlier for bloodwork?

The time to worry about cramps is if it's severe or accompanied by bleeding. Perhaps going for some bloodwork would help ease your anxiety! (It's too soon for a sono)

Good luck!

Re: Early Pregnancy...and little scared

I had cramping all three pregnancies. My first was really bad. I swore I was getting my period all the time. I had them well into my first trimester. My third pregnancy I hardly had cramping. I also spotted with all three. My second time being the worse.
Try not to stress out too much. Cramping is normal early on. It's very common for doctors not to see you for first time till your at least 7 weeks.

Like others said, there is not much you can do so early on. Just wait for your appointment on March 10th. I would only call doctor if you have intense cramps and spotting.

It's normal to worry, but cramping is also normal. With my DS I had really bad period cramps at the beginning. The waiting game is hard, but hang in there!

I was so worried too in early pregnancy and waiting until the 8 week appointment felt like forever! Cramping was actually my first sign of pregnancy (it felt slightly different than period cramping for me) and the reason I took a pregnancy test. My cramps lasted until about 5-6 weeks pregnant I think and then subsided. Congratulations!

As terrible as the 2ww was while TTCing, it doesn't even compare to the wait between getting a BFP and the first appt. It was torture!

Re: Early Pregnancy...and little scared

The beginning is so hard it was for me both times but especially the first. The cramping is your uterus stretching it feels like AF symptoms though! A doctors appt could only confirm pregnancy through blood though you will not see the heart beat until @ 7 weeks.
