Almost second trimester...
Now that I'm finally starting to come out of that first trimester carb-induced coma... I need some healthy, easy breakfast, lunches and snacks that I can bring to work! I have a fridge and microwave here too.
Any great ideas? Hoping for healthy (nutritious, not low-calorie) and nothing frozen or processed.
What are your favorites?
And for the record, I love sweet treats and ice cream too but I want to balance that out

Re: Almost second trimester...
Congrats on being almost out of first trimester! Here's what I normally eat and snack on throughout the day:
Breakfast (I need to change this one up the most): > Gluten free cereal (I like Corn Chex the most) with whole milk > Whole wheat bagel thin with cream cheese > Piece of bread or two with cream cheese + roasted red pepper > I'm going to try and start to eat a hard boiled egg - they're highly recommended during pregnancy, specifically the yolk from what I read > Yogurt + Granola > By the time I come to work, I then have a banana or an orange
Snacks: > Almonds (at Trader Joe's, there's a big bag of mini snack bags of almonds that are easy to bring to work, for train, etc) > Fruit...I love it all > Greek yogurt > Cheese stick > Need to start bringing in baby carrots > Sometimes if I'm super hungry, I'll have a small bowl of cereal and milk
Lunch: > I usually bring leftovers from dinner, so it depends on whatever I made night before -- stews, chili, some kind of pasta dish, etc. I love soups now in the winter too and will have a piece of whole wheat bread with it > I try and make sure I have some kind of protein in it. Also lately have been making more things with spinach

Almost second trimester...
I eat the same things all the time... Im boring!
Usually a greek yogurt for breakfast...
orange/grapefruit for AM snack
Lunch: Salad (spinach, craisins, pecans, blue cheese crumbles w/ low cal ras vingerette dressing- yea, not all will love the small amount of blue cheese- so if your not into it skip the cheese)
PM snack- usually goldfish, pretzels, pirates booty (lately I have been bringing myself 1 PB cup- but that's not healthy AT ALL- LOL)
Sometimes I eat PB&J on 7 grain bread or Ill bring left overs from dinner....for lunch also!
ETA- I love granola but its so high in cal/fat.... started buying the KIND brand (love the PB one) seemed like it was a bit more a serving then other granolas I bought.... I love anything high in protein- makes me feel so full!

Thanks these are great ideas!
I love hard boiled eggs. I need to start boiling a bunch over the weekend to take during the week. I could also do egg salad then!
I have 3 kids who eat all of the leftovers!

This is baby #4 so I'm definitely not overly cautious LOVE bleu cheese! I'm going to do a big salad this week I think and maybe some fruit salad.
I have been living on carbs and it needs to stop! I have been doing bagels and muffins (yes, AND not OR) for breakfast everyday and eating chips!
