Supplies for Newborn

Hi ladies!
DH and I are going to go and complete our registry this week. I would also like to use our store credit to purchase the necessary items like diapers wipes etc.. but I don't know exactly what I need. I have a safety kit and thermometer etc but what else will I need besides diapers and wipes? I remember there was a thread on here recently but I'm having difficulty finding it! TIA :)

You don't need much. Clothes, diapers, wipes. And you are not stuck. You can run out for things when you get home. I had my DS out within days.

My Ped told me having a baby is not a jail sentence. So I wouldn't stock up with tons of stuff because you really don't need that many things and its a waste of money IMO.

ITA with this! Amazon Prime/ Diapers.com has free 2 day shipping for all essentials. Also, after about a week of being cooped up at home with a newborn, a trip to Rite Aid for extra essentials was like attending the governor's ball for me. I was ecstatic to leave DH with DS for an hour and just go browse lol

Thanks ladies! I am trying to not go into "bread and milk!" mode for baby stuff - LOL. I have to remember that I can still go out and get whatever, whenever (for the post part!)
