Is covered by insurance only if you are over 35 or high risk right?
Does anyone know out of pocket cost for it and at how many weeks you take it?
thanks

Re: MaterniT21
I took the test at 11 weeks.... I will be 35 when I deliver and my insurance did cover it, but I had to pay a $200 deductible

I am 32 and not high risk so I am guessing they won't cover it

I was 36 at the time. Same cost and time frame.

Re: MaterniT21
I was 38 and insurance covered it. I believe we had it done around 22 weeks because it was definitely after our 20 week sono.

I will be 35 at delivery and Quest has a deal with the company that does this so I don't even think I paid the $200...maybe just a copay? Yes, it's only covered if there is a risk/35 at birth

Re: MaterniT21
I had it done around 18 weeks (I think). Since I am considered to be at an "advanced maternal age" at 36, I decided to have it done. Here is my post about my experience:

Re: MaterniT21
I have GHI and did a similar genetic test called Panorama before 12 weeks. I'm not high risk by am in my late 30s.
Didn't recall paying a dime for it but was told it would cost a few hundred if not covered. It sure beats the alternative of having the invasive CVS test and waiting much longer to find out the baby's gender.
