New Hope, PA. There is a children's museum and a train ride. Lots of cute stores for the adults.

Snowtubing is fun if you don't mind being in the outdoors

Philadelphia has a great children's museum, zoo is great if the weather cooperates and Adventure Aquarium is across the river in Candem. A lot of hotels have nice indoor pools too.

Check out Grand Cascades or Minerals Spa. Villa Roma is dated, but definitely fun and family friendly.

IMO I would stay home and just do day things. It is a peak travel time since the kids are off and everything will be expensive

I agree with Philly. There is so much for families to do. I normally go in the summer but it could still be fun. What about an overnight in Manhattan? You can go to the museum of Natural History, Times Square at night, Children's Museum, etc.
