Baby wearing after birth
I am bringing my baby carrier to the hospital to wear the baby after birth if I'm able to...does this seem practical? has anyone does this/planning on doing it?

Carriers usually have a minimum weight so I guess it depends on how big/small the baby is?
I'm planning on babywearing but not in the hospital.

You spend most of your time in bed, honestly. So you may as well just hold her.

I was thinking of just holding baby too, but part of me wants to put him/her in the carrier because I am afraid of having so many visitors and everyone asking to hold him/her. I don't mind a few people, but I don't want baby getting passed around to everyone. What is a good way to handle this??????

Everyone is going to ask anyway and you're probably just going to want that baby as close to your skin as possible! Just learn to say, "maybe in a few minutes" or "not right now" It's totally acceptable :)

Most have a weight requirement, so I don't know if that's practical.
Just say "not right now" and let people know your comfort level.

Just say no to people. I'm personally trying to discourage visitors that aren't close family anyway. I'd rather them come the following week after we're settled at home. And I have no problem telling close family no! Lol .

I am worried about this too. Are you breast feeding? I think that will be my "excuse" as to why people can't hold him for too long.

IMO you need to speak up from day one. If you don't want people to hold your DC or want them back speak up because if you don't do it from the beginning it will be hard to start later on.
