Jello wrestling a crocodile....
Yes, that's what it feels like changing dd's diaper now. She thrashes around, rolls onto her stomach, then when I flip her onto her back she picks her tush up, plants her feet and scoots back. I can't get the diaper on fast enough. I don't even get the pants back on....that I have to do when she's back on her tummy playing..
Dare I say I miss the newborn stage....

yeah Hailey is doing that now too. I liked it better when she never rolled back to belly lol and now she hops up and crawls away.

Dd has been fighting me so hard and flipping over and trying to get away. Now I've been letting her stand up while I change her and its been working out better. I put some toys on a chair and she stand and plays with them while I wipe her and then I put the clean diaper in my lap and sit her on my lap to fasten it. A little more effort for me but at least I avoid the struggle and the screaming. Can't wait for potty training!

She will be 7 months tomorrow. I thought I had more time before the big fight. Ugh
Just before I was even holding her two ankles with one hand. She took her whole body weight and flipped over without even the use of her legs!

Someone please tell me they have a solution. I have been wrestling with poopy and peepee wriggling and giggling maniacs for 8 months now. I sometimes give them stuff they're not a allowed to have like the remote or my bracelet.

I give a toy and do "the tripod hold" I hold both feet and 1 hand. Works for poopy grabbers.

DH and I were just discussing this about our DD too! She is 8 months and almost impossible to change! She does the no leg bodyweight flips, the no look grabbing behind her to grab a cream or other off limits item, or is just plain squirmy! I've also been giving her items to hold that she shouldn't have just to keep her attention averted for a few minutes.

Try all of the above and having a 21 month old that grabs a poopy diaper while you are trying to change the 8 month old. And the other way is worse. Trying to change a 21 month old on the floor since he wont stop moving and the 8th month old needs to be held back from everything: grabbing DS, pulling diaper and trying to eat it etc etc. It does not get easier anytime soon LOL.

Same thing here started around 7 months but is worse now at 8! I can't tell you how many diapers I've changed upside down!!! I get the diaper on super messy then transfer to his crib to fix it and get him dressed. I also found that flipping the changing pad so he's facing the other way works. I think it just confused him for a sec...still need to work fast though!!!

Us too! I used to read posts like this and be like, please, what's the problem. Wow, totally eating my words!
DD turns 6 mos this weekend and is so squirmy I can barely contain her. Now she is also grabbing at her diaper and I'm guessing we're not too far off from when she'll be taking it off. Good times.

OMG it is torture!!!! DS screams like we are trying to kill him or something. Scream, squirms, tries to crawl off, rolls, stands up and hugs and grabs on to me.
It is impossible!!!!! If it was summer I think I would just stay outside with him and leave him naked LOL

i want to kill myself when i have to change DD diaper. honestly its like trying to rope in cattle! she thrashes, scoots, rolls over anything to get away from me...and I work fast!!! ugh!!! DH doesn't understand and he just keeps saying her name when he is around like isabella...Isabella....until it becomes ISABELLA, lol!

ok so we're basically agreeing that there's nothing we can do and let this serve as a warning for all parents-to-be. You signed up for this!
I honestly recommend giving them something they shouldn't have  they sit SO still while chewing on the air conditioner remote or the button on an UGG boot
