Pool Membership Cost

If you belong to a pool (YMCA, Hotel, college, etc.) how much do you pay for the pool membership? Trying to figure out if what I was quoted from a local hotel is in line with other places.

Re: Pool Membership Cost

If you live in Nassau you can gets leisure pad 25$ that last three years and use for many parks including at least two indoor pools ..one at Eisenhower park for 3$ per visit compared to 15$ per visit

Re: Pool Membership Cost

I feel like the YWCA is expensive. My Y charges $410 for the year or $250 for the summer for a family. But you also need a membership which is $200 a family. I can join a private pool for roughly the same. I just haven't done it yet because the kids are in camp so it doesn't seem worth it.

Re: Pool Membership Cost

Our community pool complex (3 pools) runs $300-$350 (they keep raising it) for a family.

At first, I thought it was super $$$, but now I think that it's much cheaper than having one ourself. Pretty much everyone form the neighborhood joins & we spend many if not most weekends there.

I don't live in Nassau and our options in Suffolk are VERY limited. There is one public indoor pool in Mastic.

The hotel swimming membership (and fitness room..which I likely wouldn't use) is $420 for the year.

I have to check out the local gym that has both an indoor and outdoor pool. I like the outdoor option, but I know a gym is more limited on the times you can swim freely. Just outdoor doesn't work for us since it's very limited on the swimming (3 months out of the year). Called the gym, it's $89 a month for gym/swim, so that's pretty expensive for my kids to just swim. We likely wouldn't use any of the fitness options.
