WOHMs of 4 or more

Anyone with 4 or more DCs work outside the home? I'm trying to decide if it is even a possibility logistically. My girls are a bit spread out so two are in school full time already, but the thought of balancing 4 kids and a job seems insane! I am not in a position to leave my job as it affords us a lifestyle where we are comfortable and can provide a lot of opportunities to our kids, so it's more of a decision of having a fourth or not...experiences?

I'm not, but my coworker and his wife are.
Both are really professional (demanding, super full time jobs).
They have a wonderful family. Polite kids, smart, bonded strongly to parents.
They do have a full time live in babysitter & an involved mother in law.

I have 4 (9, 6 (twins) and 3) and I work 4 full days a week outside our home. My husband usually works at 3 and we have a babysitter from2:30 to 6:30. It's hard sometimes but we make it work.

Re: WOHMs of 4 or more

Thanks ladies...I needed some positive stories...my friends with more than 2 seem to stay at home...I'm a teacher, so I do have good hours and am home for the summer/school breaks...I also work less than 5 miles from home, so there is no commute to speak of. My mom and mother in law are our babysitters, but I know that I will probably need to get someone at some point, though it will probably only be a few days a week. My friends all tell me that balancing the kids' schedules outside of school is the hard part, and my kids are in a lot of activities, but I guess we do what we can! Lots to think about!
