Keeping track of foods and responses
Can anyone recommend an APP they use to track what foods their infant tried and their response to them?
It's easy enough to make a chart, but figured if there was an APP for that I could track it on the go and not worry about remembering to bring a chart with me.

What do you mean "responses"? Like allergic reactions?
My girls weren't allergic to any. I'd do one item for 3 consecutive days then move on. Neither cared for peas (they ate slow whereas they ate other foods like vultures). So I just didn't give peas anymore or mixed them into other foods later on. (they eat whole peas now). I guess I just made a mental note. It was easy to remember.

Same here, just made a mental note. If he happened to be allergic to something (he's not) I would just remember it. Easier to remember things he can't eat than all the things he can.
My ped did jot down some fruits and veggies to give DS, and I went down the list when introducing the foods. But they were in no particular order.

allergies as well as how she liked them. I want to use it as a guide when I start mixing. Plus I take data on absolutely everything I can when I start something new.

LOL I'm the opposite. I tracked bottles and oz for like a wk and a half on an ap and it became annoying. Then I did it for another week or so on a note pad then gave up.
Just because she likes 2 different things, doesn't mean she will like them together, ya know. It just becomes about hiding stuff they need, but don't like (like greens) in other stuff. My kids gavoned everything and liked the same things so it was easy to remember. Then I just hid whatever peas I had on hand in other stuff later to get rid of it. They liked green beans so it was fine.

Unless she has an allergic reaction to something I wouldn't document anything. As far as what she has had I kept mental notes, but then I put a paper taped to the cabinet of what she has had more for dh to go by since I'm the one who's always feeding her.
Her tastes can change too. Just bc she didn't like something doesn't mean she won't and vice versa.

Re: Keeping track of foods and responses
My baby bullet came with a food journal. I used it to track the order I introduced foods, Dds age, and her reaction to it (whether she liked it or not), I would have also wrote down any allergy reactions had their been any. I plan to use it as a reference for introducing foods to #2.

Honestly? There's no science to feeding your baby. You'll drive yourself nuts trying to do this.
You'll remember if there's an allergic reaction. And just b/c your baby doesn't like a food the first time, doesn't mean she won't like it a second try. And mixing totally changes the flavors, so I wouldn't rule foods out that way either. Just try a food and move on.

I agree with this. The only time I kept detailed track of DD's foods and reactions/behavior is when we were seeing a feeding therapist.

Re: Keeping track of foods and responses
Lol. Ok, thanks ladies.
Sadly, I have fun charting and taking data. It was a big part of my job when I was working so I guess I am just used to it. I actually told DH that I was excited to have DD try new foods so I could document her responses and incorporate it into her baby book.
I did a feeding and sleeping chart too. It helped me keep track of how long she nursed from each side, times she ate and how she slept.
It's probably a little Sheldon Cooper, but it's just me!

Interesting. Sex works even better than chocolate to modify behavior. I wonder if anyone else has stumbled onto this?
