When to do the 3d Ultrasound?

If you did a 3d sono for the images of the face, at what week did you go?
A coworker is 24 weeks and she went this past weekend, but my friend who is a sono tech is encouraging me to wait till 30 weeks.
I'm so impatient

When to do the 3d Ultrasound?

Went at 32w but she was facing the wrong way so I go back tonight at 33w.

My u/s tech said wait until the third trimester (at least 30 weeks) b/c you get the best images then as the baby is fully developed w/their features by then. Of course if the baby is in the right position.

not sure when the best timt to go is but im getting one done at 28weeks.. Im hopping we get some good shots!

I will probably go around 28 weeks.

I've been told not to go too late because the baby gets all smushed and cramped in there, which isn't optimal for viewing.

I went at 28 weeks and she was facing my back, went back at 29 weeks and the pictures are perfect! Good thing I didn't wait any longer because now she has been head down and facing my back since then..
