did anyone go into work today?
Sitting here contemplating whether or not to attempt to go in. My boss recommended me going home yesterday which I did but not sure about today. I'm concerned about driving at 34 weeks.
What did everyone else do?

Re: did anyone go into work today?
I stayed home. It's also my last day at my current job, so that also played into my decision. It took us 3+ hours to get from Brooklyn to Floral Park lastnight, so didn't want to deal w/ another crazy commute again today, my bladder was not pleased!
If you can do work from home and think your boss wouldn't care, I'd stay home. It's also pretty cold out there.

I came in. The side roads are crappy, but the parkway was fine. There weren't many cars on the road, so it was overall an easy drive in. I came in because I needed to save my time. If you don't need to be there, stay home. But it's not too bad

Re: did anyone go into work today?
It took every ounce of strength to come in but I really need my days and was sick 2 days last week. I commute by train. It was rough but not as brutal as I thought it would be. I still wish I was wrapped up in my bed.

This exactly. Made it from Bellmore to Queens Village without a problem.

Re: did anyone go into work today?
I'm 24 weeks & went to work. The main roads in Suffolk Cty are clear, so it only took me 20 minutes to get to work.
It's the side roads and neighborhoods that don't have bare pavement.
I would rather save my time for my maternity leave as much as I didn't want to get out of bed this morning.

I would love to say it was worth it to save my time and go in but after 3.5 hours in the car last night, and dd with a bad cold and no child care and knowing where I work would be a mess, I'm home

Re: did anyone go into work today?
Our office opened at 11 today, so I came in. The roads from Deer Park to Westbury weren't bad at all. It took me over 4 hrs to get home last night, I left the office at 1:20pm and I hope I never have to do that again in my life.
If you don't feel comfortable going out definately stay home.

Working from home yet the office is closed officially. I think I will be working from home a lot more with the weather like this and the fact my swelling is out of control!
