Switching practitioners at 37 weeks?
Has anyone switched practitioners this far along in their pregnancy? I would like to switch to stony brook midwives, as long as they will take me this late.

I think that might be too late - especially since you could go at any time now.... You can always call and ask

I think it's too late, but I guess you could call and ask. You could go into labor before your first appointment. You never know.

Re: Switching practitioners at 37 weeks?
I did during my 37th week when after multiple chances the group I was going to almost killed me. So I left them. I had a hard time finding someone to take me that late. I called the hospital and explained my situation to L&D unit and they gave me 2 numbers to call. I ended up falling in love with my new dr who I know see 4 years later still. Good Luck!! Get your records ASAP that was my only saving grace. The only other option is just using who is on call in the hospital.
