Venue for 2nd birthday party-end of March?

I am fine with having a small get together at home for DD's 2nd birthday at the end of March, but my DH really wanted to invite his extended family and have a larger party. The house is not an option in that case. We will only have a handful of young kids so a place like White Post Farms or the Little Gym is not really a good option, but I'm not sure is just renting a room in a restaurtant is a good idea either. Ideally, I would like some room for the little ones to be able to run and play. Any ideas?

Maybe at like knights of Columbus or firehouses rent rooms out. Get food catered and have like a magician or something like that come. Plenty of room for kids to run around and be entertained. I have same problem small house with large extended family.

Thanks. Stupid question: Do you have to be a member or know someone to rent these kind of places?

VFW and Firehouses you don't have to be/know a member. But IMO it's the same price and more work to rent a room and then find a caterer, have to decorate, clean, etc. I'd just find a restaurant with a private room.

What area are you looking?

Try local churches or schools.

No uou don't have to be a member call and get some prices then compare to a restaurant. I would think it would be more at a restaurant bc your paying per person. I had my sons baptism at a firehouse hall and it worked out get. Room for kids to run around and play.
