Spotting Question- asking for a friend
My co-worker is 26 weeks pregnant and is spotting red blood. She called her drs office and they are having her come in today, but she is a nervous wreck. Is this something normal that can happen at this stage of her pregnancy?
If it makes a difference, she says the baby has been moving around all day.

has she had any spotting earlier on in the pregnancy? i was told around 9 weeks (when i woke up covered in blood - way more then spotting) that i have a tear in my uterus and therefore i can experience bleeding at any time. i was told if i do bleed to call and come in just to be certain nothing is wrong but that i shouldnt panic (like i initially did). the fact that she still feels the baby is great - it probably just is a tear or something minor.
hopefully its nothing - but of course we all panic at the sight of blood and until that doctor reassures us there is nothing anyone can say to calm you down
