Time to change carseat?

DS is 7 1/2 months old and has never had a issue in the car. For the past few weeks he has been crying when getting buckled into his infant seat, and even crying while we are driving. He is just at the height limit so I'm wondering if he's uncomfortable. I really dread the change since he always naps in the car and its easy to just bring him in with the seat.

Do you think its the right time to change?

Well if he is at the height limit you will need to change him. I regretted taking dd out of her infant seat at 6 months because she constantly fell asleep and I had to wake her. With my second I left her in the infant seat until 11 months. My youngest dd just hated the carseat no matter which one we tried but maybe a change for your ds might do the trick.

It might be. My dd hit the height as well but she lastes until about 12-13 months! And when i changed her it sucks! She will not stay asleep during the transfer. No matter what i do. She wakes up and ive had to rearrange my day according to her nap. My dd will wake up when i try to move hee to stroller or home in her crib and wont go back to sleep. Its a total pita! Especially since i love doing things in the morn and then being home in the afternoon. Now i have to wait until after her nap to do anything.

My friends son stays asleep so maybe youll be lucky. :)

I miss the infant seat and the snap and go :(

You are going to have to change anyway since he is at the height limit. When we switched DS he still slept. He was super comfy in the convertible seat since he had so much room.

if he's not at limit just yet, can you raise the straps?you cna buy a little more time this way.

if hes at the limit already then it's time to switch. dd1 never slept in the car so it didn't matter. dd2 I can transfer. She will wake up when i take her out but I can usually get her back to sleep with a little rocking

I think that once they can get around more they just don't want to be strapped down.

But if he's at the height limit then switch.
