Has anyone converted a crib?
I am looking to convert DD's crib to a full-size bed for our guestroom (we have a hand me down toddler bed for her).
Do the conversion kits typically come with the wooden slats (like an Ikea bed) or do they have the metal frame like you'd get with an adult mattress?
If you'd converted, are you happy with the kit? Or should I just use an old metal bedframe I have and call it a day?
Thanks!

Re: Has anyone converted a crib?
For DS, I didn't buy the conversion kit when I got his crib, and by the time I converted, I either couldn't get the kit, or couldn't easily get it. Either way, I bought a generic metal frame and attached the footboard and headboard to that.

We didn't convert our but I think it depends on the brand. I Googled and there were different set up. Some with the rails just have a ledge that the box spring sits on and others have ikea type slats.
