the "4ww" is way worse than the 2ww

i'm using the term 4ww to describe the 38w-42w window that spontaneous labor is perfectly acceptable and expected. i'm a couple days before my EDD and over analyzing every little twinge, bowel movement, color on my pantiliner, etc. this is the worst! i have never craved pain so badly. i just want to feel the pain of labor and get this show on the road! and i know about all of the home induction options i could be trying but i am a very anti-intervention (whether it's medical or herbal) and just want this to happen on its own...and soon! i'm not even uncomfortable being 40w pregnant, i feel great. i just don't want to keep waiting and waiting. i'm sure i'm not the first person to feel this way, just needed to vent!

It definitely gets harder to be patient after your due date. I wish they didn't even tell you a due date be because the average 1st time mom goes into labor at 41 weeks 3 days not at 40 weeks so it gives you this false sense of oh I should be done now and I'm not. Also everyone starts asking why you haven't been induced yet. If you are trying to avoid medical intervention (which is what i did as well) definitely hold off as long as you can...It will happen when you least expect it. I went to bed feeling pretty normal at 41 weeks and woke up at 4am to contractions and start of bloody show. Gave birth around 30 hours later at 8am. i'm 36w, and just entering this 4ww, yet i feel like i've already btdt bcuz ob said i was measuring 3 weeks ahead. so i gave up & am getting up when ever & where ever i can. helps that it was so nice out today too.

just when i think i'm done preppin for baby's arrival i find more i can do, which also takes my mind off it.
