Orlando attractions - but not Disney
Hi,
We're going to be in Orlando for 2 half days and one full day (get there Tuesday afternoon and leave Thursday mid-day) the first week of March.
We're going to do Disney on the one full day there - but I'm looking for some options on what we do the two half days. I was going to do a character breakfast, but realized it requires park admission. I just can't rationalize paying park admission just for breakfast.
Any suggestions on what we can do? (We'll have in-laws - all adults - with us, plus DS who will almost be 3.)
Thanks for any suggestions!

For a character breakfast... Look into Chef mickeys. It's at the contemporary resort, so doesn't require park admission. It has Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, goofy and Donald. There's also ohana, which is at the Polynesian resort. You could check out downtown disney... They have a Lego store and the T-Rex cafe to eat at

You can do a character breakfast at a Disney resort. You don't need admission for it!
I would wait & see. You may want to spend another day at Disney.
You may want to go to sea world.
What I end up doing is chilling at the hotel, doing mini golf, going somewhere for dinner.
The Dino restaurant in disney downtown area is cute & maybe a bit scary for kids.

Our kids LOVE SeaWorld. They also LOVE the TRex Café in Downtown Disney.
Boardwalk is worth a visit. You may also want to check out some other resorts. Arts of Animation has a lot of nice photo ops.

I would not waste the money on a half day in another park (SW, etc.). I would go to Downtown Disney on one of the half days. Maybe do Blizzard Beach or Fantasia Mini Golf. Also like someone else said, eat a meal at the resorts, no admission needed. The Chip and Dale singalong Campfire is free and fun at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. You can see the electrical water parade from the beach after. You could also rent a mouseboat (for parties of 2), or a pontoon boat (for all of you), and cruise the lake.

thanks so much for the feedback, ladies! I now at least feel like we won't be twiddling our thumbs for our two half days!!! (I'm squeezing this in around business travel - so trying to make something nice out of the time I can make available!)

There are several character breakfasts that do not require park admissions....chef mickey's for one. If you want to do one you 100% do not need a park ticket.
Universal is another option, sea world, lego land are a few that come to mind.
Downtown disney does not need a ticket either. There are mini golf places on disney property too. Several of the hotels have activities. You could rent a surrey bike, a boat etc.
