If you don't have a dishwasher..
How will you sterilize bottles, pacis etc..?
I was going to register for the microwaveable sterilize but a) I am not sure if they are worth it and b) which one do I buy if I don't know what bottle I will eventually use..
How else would you sterilize items? A pot of water?

If you don't have a dishwasher..
We ONLY sterilized the first time. We had a little one that sat on our counter.
Once anything hits the air....its no longer sterile so I wouldn't go nuts after the first time.

Boiling water. Like alli3131 said once the air touches the bottles, etc. it is no longer sterile- you can get microwave sterilization bags that will protect the stuff until you are ready to use it but it is probably unnecessary. I would sterilize things before the first use and then just wash them well with hot water and dish soap unless your pediatrician advises otherwise.

Re: If you don't have a dishwasher..
I have never put DD's bottles in the dishwasher.
I just boiled everything the first time and then washed as usual.
Paci's i would boil every now and then but she would usually lose one before it got to the point where i would boil it vs just continuing to wash in hot soapy water.

Re: If you don't have a dishwasher..
don't have a dishwasher, so I'm using disposables (platex drop ins) -- I'm also having twins and don't have time to sit there and sterilize every single day.
I'll throw the nipples into boil every other day but that's really the extent of it. I'm also going to have a separate "area" for the bottles/nipples storage...

I sterilized the bottle nipples and pacifiers in boiling water before the first use. Aside from that they get washed in the sink and maybe every six weeks i would sterilize them again in boiling water. I had a sterilizer and ended up returning it bc imo it was a waste
