Anyone deliver at LIJ New Hyde park?
What was your experience here? I found out one of the drs in my practice delivers here. Just wanted to get some feedback before I made a decision. Thanks.

Anyone deliver at LIJ New Hyde park?
I was in the old building with my son but 2 friends have delivered in the new Katz Center and I went to visit. It is amazing. I felt like I was in the W hotel. Also, they were pretty lax about binky's and taking the baby at night. I am due again in July and can't wait. All rooms are private and the couch in the room is supposedly comfy if your DH stays.

My best friend delivered there...she had a great experience. When I went to visit her, it was gorgeous!

Anyone deliver at LIJ New Hyde park?
I delivered there last year (feb 2013) and have nothing but great things to say. From the moment we pulled up to the curb to the moment I left they were great. I loved my l&d nurse (so much that I'm debating on asking if she's working when I deliver dc2 in may  )
The entire staff was great and it was very clean. I had one lactation consultant who wasn't the greatest - she rushed out of my room and wasn't helpful- but I just asked the nurse to send someone else in and she did. Fm if you have any specific questions but IMO can't go wrong delivering there

I just delivered there two weeks ago n i had a wonderful experience! The nurses were amazing during delivery and after. The food was really good too! They have an area for guests to get coffee n a refrig that has food in it. Im so happy that i was there n i cant say enough good things bout the staff. The one nurse b4 i left hooked me up with tons of free things.. So grateful that i made dh bring chocolates for them. I may add it is so clean n modern.. Overall just an excellent experience!

anyone FF feed there, and if so, if they were strict about giving you the formula? Also do they take the baby to the nursery at night if requested? i am researching this now for when I TTC #2 to possibly switch drs/hospital affiliation. I previously delivered at winthrop but have read some not so good stuff about them lately. Thanks!

Anyone deliver at LIJ New Hyde park?
My sister delivered there in Dec 2012 and she had a great experience. The staff were very helpful and they were accommodating to us as her family. They allowed me to visit her at any time. The hospital is also very clean. It doesn't even look like a hospital. I'm trying to get my doctor to deliver me there.

I FF there n it was no problem. They gave me formula n i kept asking for more.. The nurse on my last day got a bag filled with diapers, support band which was awesome, formula, creams, n pads.
The baby slept in the nursery.. I needed my rest.
Visiting hours are all day n night. It was a great experience.
One thing tho.. They dont give out pacifiers anymore.. Supposedly people complained that is a choking hazard.. Last time i heard it helps prevent SIDS.. So who knows
Any other questions fm me :)
