Baby shower question

Ok so I know that you are supposed to invite close friends and family to your shower. But I have a few girls that I am on the fence with. I don't know if its better to invite them or not...like I don't know if they would be offended or would think its weird to get an invite. The first girl I met in college and we weren't super close but we were in the same sorority. We recently started talking (actually due to a tragedy of a friend passing way) and are getting together this weekend. I feel like we will probably start hanging out more since she has a young son.

The second girl Ive hung out with a few times but she is friends with my DH's friends who are now my friends. Like I recently saw her when we invited people over for football to our house- we didn't even invite her she just came since she is part of the group so to speak. I really like her too so it's not like I would be inviting someone I don't like lol Anyway I know I am overthinking it which I tend to do, but what would you do? Would you invite them or not?

I would see how it goes with your friend this weekend. If it seems like you guys will hang out more and grow a friendship then I say invite her. I would also invite the other girl. They can always say no.
