Flying in 1st Trimester?
In general, should I try and limit how much I fly in first trimester? I flew 2 weeks ago when we went on vacation, and did not like the feeling when you land, but it was fine.
I might have to travel a few days for work next week. I can try and avoid it if possible, but wanted to get everyone's honest opinion on what they thought. Wasn't sure if it was risky to fly again...

Re: Flying in 1st Trimester?
My dr said it's totally fine to travel throughout your pregnancy. She said just make sure to get up and stretch, walk around and keep hydrated. I'm in my 2nd trimester and flying to the west coast next week.

Flying in 1st Trimester?
What everyone else said. I flew around 19w and had no problems. The only thing I did differently was get up after an hour to move my legs and I also opted for the pat down at security.

Re: Flying in 1st Trimester?
I flew at 5 weeks pregnant and I'm a high risk pregnancy. The Dr didn't even see it as a problem... Just stay hydrated and get up often to help with the blood circulation.

Re: Flying in 1st Trimester?
i was told you can fly throughout the entire pregnancy as long as you dont have complications (are on bedrest etc). and it is not recommended to fly after 35 weeks i believe when i was pregnant with DD i flew every other month between vacations and business trips just stay hydrated and if it is a long flight, get up and walk around

Re: Flying in 1st Trimester?
Just as everyone else said. Nothing to worry about. I flew at 7 weeks to NC and 8 weeks to Aruba. I was constantly nauseous so I brought crackers and bought ginger ale before boarding the plane. Good luck!!!
