i had a new years eve baby!
Nicholas (still deciding on a middle name lol) was born at 9:55 New year's eve night weighing 7lbs5oz 20inches long. I woke up in the morning with contractions, called the Dr who told me to go get checked so I jumped in the shower but then the contractions stopped so I throught it was a false alarm since I was 9 days before my due date anyway. A little while later they started again but not as bad but I decided to get checked anyway. Totally thinking I was wasting my time, even the nurse was like why are u here, I wasn't in pain or anything. She checked me and I was 4cm, being 2 the day before she's like ok let's see what happens. Next thing I know I'm 6cm and I'm sitting there barely feeling a thing! I almost skipped the epi cuz I didn't need it but the Dr told me to get it cuz he was gonna break my water and I'd probably be in pain then. So glad I listened cuz even with the epi I was in horrible pain, and that was just from the pressure down below, my stomach was totally numb. I kinda stalled at 7cm and in so much pain the Dr walked in and asked me if I was the same girl who he saw before cuz I was moaning in pain when before I had a big smile on my face lol. I was laying there saying people are idiots for doing this to ourselves, the Dr n nurse were laughing at me lol. Luckily once I picked up I went from 7-10 quick and after 15 min of pushing my ds was born! He had a huge knot in his cord, the Dr was shocked cuz it was bad and he never showed any signs of distress, I feel like my grandma was watching out, I felt her there when I was in labor. I can't believe I have 2 kids now, it feels so surreal. Good luck to all you ladies!

Wow, happy he was safe after that! Congrats! Sounds like an easy second labor.
