NPR: if you have a cleaning person???
If you have a cleaning person come once or twice a month, what do you have them clean and how many hours are they there for?
I am really considering getting one, just can't keep up with everything!

My friend does this bi weekly is surface clean vacuum all floors clean bathrooms bedrooms & dust. Depending on size of home could take 3 or more hours

my cleaning lady comes evert other week. She dusts, including the moldings, vacuums, cleans bedrooms. bathroom, kitchen (stove, sink, etc), takes out garbage (we live in an apt so she doesnt have to go outside for this), cleans the windows and will do the laundry for an small extra charge. Without the laundry she is here for at least 4 hours.

Biweekly and she dusts, vacuums, cleans bathroom, all floors, changes the sheets on my bed (not DDs crib sheet though), takes out the garbage.
Edited to say: I have no clue how long she is here, she comes when we are at work.

Mine comes weekly and brings one other person. She vacuums, wipes down and dusts all surfaces, changes bed sheets, etc. (ours, not the baby's), cleans the bathrooms... I find it so helpful. I started using her when I was on modified bedrest while pregnant and continued now that we have a baby and it's really pretty great. I say if you can swing it, go for it.
Eta- to answer your other question, she stays about 2 1/2 hours (but she brings someone else and my house is small). A few times she came alone and stayed 4 hours.

I have a person come every other week and they usually bring 1-2 other people..more people is less time taken but they clean everything...we have a split so it's all levels, bedrooms, bathrooms, basement with vacuuming and changes everyone's sheets (ours and DDs for now)...worth every penny!

Mine comes once a month and she cleans everything and is awesome. They come with 2-4 people depending on the day.

Mine comes every 3 weeks, and is usually here for about 4-5 hours. She cleans and dusts almost all surfaces, including windows, pictures, etc. She even takes all our books off the shelves to really get in the cracks. She scrubs all bathrooms, changes our sheets, vacuums and mops, does the dishwasher if needed, cleans all appliances. She also organizes our medicine cabinets. We started using them a year ago, and it's been a huge plus. DH and I no longer bicker over cleaning!
