I'd try BBB they have a much better return policy. And they give you the full price. TRU has only given me the price it was currently selling for and they're not as willing to take the items back without a receipt (at least in my experience)

Agree with BBB. TRU gives you the lowest sale price as long as they still have it in stock. Target only lets you return $75(?) of merchandise per year without a receipt which is a PITA!

Re: exchanging toys….target or tru?
Just another note about TRU - they don't "exchange" per say.
I tried, was given store credit, and the amount I was given was the lowest selling price w/i the last 90 days - I rec'd 17.99+tax when it was currently selling for 24.99+tax

Also, thought Target may carry the same item, they often have their own specific bar codes- I brought an item back (to exchange) a while ago, when the customer service person scanned it, they said it was not their item.

I actually just came back from tru. It was painless, but other posters are 100% correct when they say they only give you credit for the lowest selling price they sold it.
How about walmart? They allowed 3 returs without receipts every 3 or 6 months ( i forgot if its 3 or 6).

Target was seamless but they have a $70 max. I already hit my max last week.
I personally don't like to return anything at TRU without a receipt. I feel they give you so little.

When my kids were younger, I always returned at BBB. They definitely have the best return policy. I no longer shop there now that my kids are older.
Even when I had items off my registry at BRU, they gave me trouble with returns/exchanges.

Id try walmart. I think they are super easy to return stuff without a reciept. Target is a PITA to return with no reciept.
