1st birthday party
I have some time on this, dd is only 6 months, but where did you have your dcs first body's party?
I don't want it at the house. Her birthday is at the end of June so outdoor would be great. We have plenty of space in our backyard or house I just don't want to deal with the mess and catering, etc etc.
If you didn't have it at your house, where did you have it?

Re: 1st birthday party
Hubby's firehouse.... It was catered, but the catering company did the set up and the bartenders from the FH did the clean up. Best money I spent. We had around 40 adults and 10 kids.

1st birthday party
We are doing it at White Post Farms. My son LOVES animals so it made sense. His birthday is in February so we had to have an inside option!

Re: 1st birthday party
dd is turning one in Feb so having a house party wouldnt work considering our guest list is up to about 60 people and we live in a 1 bedroom apt.
price was a huge factor for us - we found two restaurants in queens for under $20pp for a sit down meal fm if you want more info

1st birthday party
I did it at a knights of columbus and had food catered. I decorated and had a theme. It was a great time. Had entertainment. Everything came out beautiful.
I wanted to do outside but it just didnt work out. Parks are alwaya great or childrens museum.

Re: 1st birthday party
We had DD's in a restaurant. We had about 80 people and live in a 2 bd apt, so having it at home was not an option.
But, had her bday been in the summer, I would have considered an outdoor venue like central park. We spent a lot of money on her party, and in retrospect, wished we had done something smaller.

1st birthday party
We had it at our house. We had pizza. It wasn't a big deal.
I would rent out space in a park.
