NYC hotel on NYE
DH and I are thinking of going to NYC for a couple of nights over New Years. We are planning to use marriott or Hyatt points so we are limited to those That are available. Where would you stay? Marriott Eastside (49th and lex) Union Square Hyatt Lexington Hyatt (48th)

I personally would rather be in the union sq area as opposed to midtown. You may have to take what you can get though at such a crazy busy time in the city.

Re: NYC hotel on NYE
Thanks for your reply, we ended up choosing none of the above...we went with the ritz which we can also use marriott points for. It's supposed to be a great hotel and while it's not too far from midtown it's not in the closure zones. We have dinner reservations at a restaurant in walking distance.
