Recommend your favorite toys for your infant
DS is 2 months this week and we really don't have so many toys. We have an activity mat, a few different mirrors, a couple rattles, the fisher price snail that plays music and lights up, a piano for him to kick....and that's about it. He likes things that light up and play music. I really need to stock up! Please suggest your favorites!

That actually sounds like a lot of toys for a 2 month old. DS is 10.5 months old and just starting to really get interested in toys. They accumulate quickly so before you know it, you'll have more than you know what to do with!

I agree that it also sounds like you have a lot already too. Except in DD's case, she liked playing with her toys since 4 months old and you said you want to stock up, but, DD was over all of her infant toys at 10 months. Thank goodness for her 1st birthday when we got all new older toys. Those infant toys didn't hold her interest past 8 months so don't stock up too much or they'll go to waste.

Oh okay phew! I thought we were behind with toys. Really we just spend most of our time singing, walking around, and looking in mirrors I just wanted to make sure I was stimulating his development enough! Right now he doesn't want to look at much beyond my face, which he has decided in the last fe days is the most interesting thing in the world

This is my son's favorite toy. He's 13 months and he loves playing the music over and over. He's a fan of classical, lol

Sophie the giraffe is a favorite. I agree with the lamaze toys. DD also loved the teether books, bright starts has some great ones that are crinkly and have chewy parts too. At that age DD liked soft stuffed rattles and musical things that were easy to hold and anything with big eyes for some reason! Links and also the o-ball toys with rattles are great. Target has a few gift sets right now with a few smaller things in each near the infant section.

Agree with Lamaze toys also! My DS favorite at that age was Mortimer the Moose.

Re: Recommend your favorite toys for your infant
links! even at 14 months DD plays with them and carries them around. Also we would attach them to other toys when we were out so they wouldn't always fall on the floor.
