maternity pants too tight!
I'm 34 weeks...so uncomfortable.. Even maternity feels too tight...do I really need to buy a different size this late?! I didn't gain an unusual amount of weight...but..too tight help!

Re: maternity pants too tight!
can you get away with leggings and other stuff that you currently own for the next few weeks? with dd i had to buy one pair of work paints a size larger for the last 8 weeks or so...and i alternated that and leggings for work. for me spending $30 and being comfortable was worth it...and i ended up carrying dd to 41+ weeks so i was glad to have stuff that fit

Can you get yoga pants or something? Maybe a belly band for other pants? Try Walmart's plus size section...they have really cheap stuff in larger sizes with stretchy waists.

I had to buy one more pair of work pants towards the end with my first one. It was annoying but worth it.

when I was pregnant I found it easier, and cheaper, to buy the pants with the stretchy waists, like the PP said sometimes you can find them in plus size sections.

I would give in a buy a couple of pairs of pants. If you can get away with leggings Target has nice ones in their maternity section for around $16. I think being comfortable is worth the investment.

That's how I was with my first pregnancy. Luckily I wore scrubs to work and sweats and leggings on the weekends. This pregnancy I'm just wearing leggings and tunics toward the end. I would NOT buy new stuff at 34 weeks. What a waste of money!

Yeah it happens. Just go buy 1 or 2 pairs of maternity pants next size up. Look for coupons. I know old navy usually has them for pretty cheap. It's not a waste if this is your first pregnancy and plan to have more kids. Just use them next time. No need to be uncomfortable for 6 more weeks.

Towards the end of my last pregnancy I had to buy new jeans b/c the ones I had were too tight. I also wore a lot of leggings!

Re: maternity pants too tight!
Are they tight in the stomach area or butt and thighs? If its the latter, not much you can do but trade in for leggings or buy one or two more pairs. post Christmas sales are coming so I would say it's a great time to buy if you really have to. If it's the stomach area, what I did with my first was just to cut through the band or just stretch it with my hands as much as possible! All my maternity pants from DS have holes or rips in the band area but no one can see this anyway so who cares!

Re: maternity pants too tight!
You could cut through the elastic to make them fit. But I am going to say this most women take a few weeks/months post pregnancy to return to their prepregnancy shape so you might end up wearing them longer.

Re: maternity pants too tight!
I just had to buy a few more pairs around 28 weeks. I bought mostly leggings and another pair of jeans. I just wash the jeans and wear them every other day. Its annoying, but better than spending more money. I also have found leggings under dresses to be really comfy for me now. Most of my maternity tops are getting to short and not covering my belly anymore.
