Left tubes to my pump at home. Suggestions?
I'm on my way to work (commute to the city) and I forgot the tubes to my pump. I called BBB and they have a hand pump ($40)or a kit that comes with an adapter I can plug into my pump($70) Anyone have any experience with either? DD is 8 months and I'm hoping to make it to 1 year with BM so I'm not looking for a major investment but something that will allow me to pump today. Arrrgh

You can get a manual pump for $30 at Walgreens. Not great but it'll serve the purpose for you! Then good to have in case if a situation like this or a power outage if pump isn't charged!

Hand express. I've left pump parts at home before and just had to hand express into the bottles. It takes a little longer but when I'm in a bind it works.

Re: Left tubes to my pump at home. Suggestions?
Thanks for the fast replies. I thought about hand expressing but was nervous it wouldn't be as effective and I would get a mastitis. I've had 2 and am quite ok to never have those again lol
I ended up finding a surgical supply store not too far from my office that had the tubes . At least now I have keep a set at work!
Thanks again!

good! I never though hand expressing could lead to Mastis but i guess if you're had it before you'd know. i hand expressed a lot and sometimes get just about as much as if I used my electric pump. Were the tubes expensive? I'm in need of new tubing and membranes. I'm noticing my pump isn't working as well anymore.

I don't know it hand pumping would lead to a mastitis but didn't want to chance it. I hate hand expressing almost as much as I hate pumping!!
The tubes cost $20. Amazon has them cheaper though so I would check there first . The ones I got today had a funky tip that got stuck on my pump and broke off. I nearly had a heart attack. Fortunately I was able to cut off the tip and it still worked and my pump seems ok. Phew!!
