need help. DD has diarreah
I tried everything - every flavor of pedialyte, gatorade, water. She refuses to drink anything. Any tips on how I can get some fluids in her?
Also should I avoid milk?

Can you get the freezer pop ones? Or maybe make your own pedialyte freeze pops.

She is almost 2. I even bought a water bottle that looks just like mine to get her to drink hers, but she is stubborn. She had a banana this morning. I guess I just need to keep trying.

How long has she had it? If its just a day I wouldn't worry too much. But if its longer time then I'd be bribing her

It first started yesterday around 5:30pm, and then one more time last night. Then 3 times today between 8-1.
I went to the store to find the pop-maker, but no one has them in the winter. I put some pedialyte in the ice cube trays, I will see if they work.

Re: need help. DD has diarreah
When DS was that age I would use the pedal yet pops. He only liked the orange pedialyte and I would usually have to mix it with a little water.
Definitely BRAT diet.
I would avoid milk, but you might ask your own pediatrician's opinion.
DS used to like to drink from a shot glass. I would just sit with him on the couch, watching one of his favorite shows, sipping pedialyte from the shot glass.

she doesnt need the pedialyte. That is for dehydration. One day of diarreah is not going to make her dehydrated. I would let it be and not force anythin on her right now. Her tummy probably hurts and doesn't want anything. Just like us as adults don't feel up to eating so much when our tummies hurt.

Re: need help. DD has diarreah
Thanks everyone. We are now on day 3 and she still has loose poops. She finally started to drink some water with the pedialyte in it, and then I put the unflavored in her milk and she has been drinking that too. She is not acting any different, has no fever and is eating solids normally, and I am noticing more wet diapers. Hopefully this will be over soon.

I would use floristor. Not sure about the spelling, but it is a good probiotic to help restore the good bacteria
