8 months and still feeding at night....
Any thoughts on this. I know that people say she should be able to make it through but I don't see how. She has solid feedings every three hours overnight. Do some babies just do this longer? Should I change something during the day? I tried giving her more at meal times but she spits up if I do that.

She is terrible with solids. I'm guessing that this is part of the problem.

Are you doing a watery solid with BM or formula? Mine hated solids when it was too watery. My niece hates them when its too thick. Are you serving them warm or cold, store bought or home made? What solids have you tried. My dd loves sweet fruits but hates veggies so we sneak a half container of veggie into her rice or oatmeal then dip it in the yummy fruit.

Re: 8 months and still feeding at night....
Mine were every 4 hrs and at about 7 mo they still did their 4:30 feeding but them woke at 6:30 for the day. I weaned the 4:30 feeding by staying in their room, giving pacis, shhhushing. They took about a week to drop it. I went to their room so I was there and could go back to sleep. Can you try weaning them one by one. How much is LO taking at each of those feedings? For us feeding solids never effected how much they slept overnight.

Solids made no diff with sleeping for us. She was sleeping 10-11 hours straight before solids at 4 months.
It's a developmental thing. They do it when they're ready

My DD is 7 months and still wakes up to eat at night. Last night she was up 3 times. I am a FTWM, so she takes less while I am away and nurses at night. DD1 was the same way - didn't STTN until she turned 1. My ped is not concerned. She isn't gaining too much weight from it, so I am not concerned either.

ITA def keep trying with the solids - change up the consistency as others posted. dd hated the watery outmeal, but liked it thicker and loved fruits. dd is probably nursing for comfort at this point more then for hunger. she has developed this schedule and she likes it. i would personally try to wean one feeding at a time in the middle of the night, but if you dont mind the feedings, i am guessing there is nothing medically wrong wtih it

Have you tried not feeding when she wakes up? At least the first feeding? At this point she's most likely eating out of habit and not actual hunger. I'd try to comfort her without feeding for the first wake up of the night. And I'd suggest talking to your ped if you have real concerns about this. At 8m she should be able to go more than 3 hours between feedings.
