Recommend your glider <$250
Can anyone recommend a glider/ottoman within a reasonable budget? I would like to spend no more than $250. There are so many options, but the cheaper ones I've seen haven't gotten the best reviews.

Re: Recommend your glider <$250
We purchased a Dutailer glider from BRU with matching ottoman. It was a little pricey, but with a 20% coupon, which we had at the time, it cost between $300-400 total for both pieces.
The chair is the most comfortable we have ever sat in. When we are done with kids, it's going in our bedroom or downstairs in our living room. The fabric has held up with no stains, rips. It has pockets on either side to hold books, bottles, etc. We have even fallen asleep in it with the baby - it's that comfortable.
This is a copy of my post back in 2011. "We purchased a Dutailier rocker/glider from BRU that is fully upholstered.
The ones at BRU, you can custom order to the wood type and fabric type."

I bought my rocker and ottoman at Once Upon A Child in Sayville for $150 for both pieces. You can also check out some buy and sell groups on facebook and on Craigslist.

I happened to be looking online at BRU and came across a large listing of clearance gliders at BRU. Some of them were Shermag and Dutailier.

At 12pm tomorrow, this glider will be a lightning deal on Amazon. It's going for $311 now but will be less.

we got our glider from BRU... it was a floor model, originally priced at $499 and we got it for $149. it wasn't the one we wanted from the start but for the price, it was a no brainer.

Did you ask for this specifically or did they offer it?

it was something they were offering. maybe you could check occasionally if any store models are for sale or will be available for purchase soon. we kind of fell into it, luck of the draw, but you never know! the worst they could say is no.

We have this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BIIP2Y/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's a GREAT glider! Used it profusely with DS, unfortunately including some all nighters with him passed out on top of me It's still going strong 3 years later and planning to keep using it with DD.
