those who double or triple sheet
Do you use multiple mattress pads between the sheets? Which ones do you recommend using?

I still double and triple sheet the crib. I use the mattress pads in between or I'll use the waterproof pads in between - I got them at BRU but can't recall the names of them.

If the baby wets the bed in the middle of the night you can just pull off the sheet and pad, and another set is under it, perfectly dry.

Is it a common occurrence that babies wet the bed? DD is 18 months old and we've never had a leak. Am I just lucky?

My friend swore by the Summer Infant Ultimate crib sheets. She would put 2-3 them on top of the sheet on the mattress and if anything were to happen overnight, you snap it off and a new one is under it and you are not wrestling with the actually sheets/mattress.

I didn't really have an issue with that either. I have a few of the sheet savers and never used them. Maybe 2-3 times DD woke up damp and maybe I'm just lazy but I threw a waterproof pad over the sheet and changed everything in the morning.

I have two older DCs and I found that with the bumper and the blankets and the other loveys in the crib, it was taking me longer than I wanted to change the baby's sheets. Whether it was 2am or 4pm, I needed to keep all three kids occupied while I did the task and doubling up on the sheets really made it a lot easier.
Plus with DS#2, we did CIO and he would get so upset that he would throw up at bedtime.  It was awful - I found that double sheeting with mattress pads in between was VERY helpful.

I've never had to change sheets in the middle of the night. Ds sometimes had a wet sheet in the morning but he never woke up from being wet, so I didn't know until morning. I just put a bigger size diaper on him for nights
