Toy Kitchen
I bought DS a little tikes plastic kitchen - I keep going back and forth on if I should return and get a wood kitchen. Any thoughts? I would really like something that will last a few years for DC 2.

I was debating the same thing. I ended up going with a Step 2 plastic kitchen. The wood ones I was looking at are pressed wood and I read some reviews saying that the doors broke. One person's child got hurt because the corners were sharp. I also ready a lot of people saying that the plastic ones were durable and giving examples how. I would have thought the opposite.

The plastic ones will last forever, I wouldn't switch unless you like the look of the wood one much better.

I have a wood one from Ikea that I absolutely love.
It works very well & has withstood my son who thinks he's a chef for the last 2 years!
It's a real piece of furniture.
That being said, the plastic ones are nice too, I went with wood because it's smaller.

I boughtthis one from playkitchens.com. My friend has it for her DC and it's so sturdy! It seems like it will last a long time.

I would get this. My cousins dd has this and its so much nicer than the step 2 plastic one i got DS. The plastic ones have crappy/no storage. I wish i would have bought this one

I have a little tikes that's a hand me down so obviously they hold up well. My issue is it's small and has no storage and the components are cramped. I think for DD's second birthday we're going to get that uptown kitchen in the natural finish since it looks nicer and more realistic and has a ton more storage. Glad to hear the good reviews here.
