houses with illegal apartments
We were at open houses today and DH and I started talking about basement apartments, since one of the houses we looked at had one. In the process of buying the house, does the Town come out and check for COs on everything in the house, or do they not bother?
We aren't really looking to rent the apartment, but thought it might be nice to have the extra kitchen just for our own use.

Yes, the stove is a giver... a top range is better in a kitchenette area.
