Low salt diet
I was seeing spots and having blurry vision yesterday. I called my ob and he told me to come in. Baby was fine but my blood pressure was high. He gave me mess and told me to stay home from work until he saw me again Friday. He also said. It to eat salt.
Anyone know of good foods that are easy to prepare that are low in sodium?

I make chicken in the crockpot and I use Mrs.Dash salt-free seasoning. It's really good! I like to have it with a salad. There are bunch of different Mrs.Dash flavors you can use to spice up your meals. Also, you can try making your own soups or stews in the crockpot.

Roasted or steamed veggies lean meats fish baked sweet potatoes baked squash mixed greens with grilled chicken or shrimp Try to avoid canned soups and processed foods because they contain a lot of sodium.

Crashing - avoid prepackaged seasonings or prepackaged foods... most of those microwave meals are loaded w/ sodium. Cook whole foods - chicken, turkey, fresh potatoes, rice, fresh veggies (or frozen are fine, just don't get the ones that are already in any sauce), etc. When you cook it, just check any marinades you may use for their sodium content, I try to make my own using the salt-free seasonings or just making my own by combining spices. Watch out for salad dressings too, if you eat a lot of salads.
