$5 gift help
My daughter is in a small private school and they are doing a Christmas gift exchange. She has a 4yr old little boy from her class that is super shy and no one seems to know what he likes. The kicker is it's a $5 gift. It's like that for the entire school so it has to be right around that. What suggestions do you have? I was thinking about looking at the $1 section of target. Any ideas?

I would go to five below. They have games, cars, puzzles, science kits, art kits all in that price range.

all 4 year olds like to color, right? You can get him some crayons and coloring books. The $1 section from target is always a hit or miss though. You have no idea what he likes? Because even the dollar store or like the PP mentioned, 5 below, they have books, puzzles and little kits of things that would be good. Maybe instead of a specific character get something more general that most kids would like (animals or cars).

I would get a board game. You can find many for $5 around this time of year. Chutes and Ladders, Cootie, etc. Or some books from the Dollar Tree.

I agree with the pp about crayons and coloring books. I'm sometimes nervous to give dollar spot stuff as gifts for others' kids in case it ends up being junk or toxic or something like that!
