Moms of 12-18 month olds please help

Need help getting my DD to drink whole milk and just curious if you can answer a few questions bc I have no clue if I am doing this right - just feeling frustrated.

- does your baby drink milk from sippy cup?
- do you give whole milk and is it organic?
- how many oz a day on avg?
- are they still on a bottle or BFing at all?
- do they drink either a bottle or sippy cup of milk before bed?

ETA - sippy cup before bed not in bed lol.

1. Yes, but I didn't start till he was 12 months. He was drinking water from sippy since 6 mos or so
2. Yes, organic whole milk
3. Around 16, 8 in the morning in a Nuk sippy, around 6 oz after dinner, and a sippy of milk in the afternoon.

5. Not before bed, usually with a snack after dinner


Edit to add I completely took away the bottle when DS turned 18 months. He would scream bloody murder for his bottle when I tried to take it away sooner.

My daughter is 15 months old.

YES.

She only drinks 6-8 ounces. It is low but the doctor said it was fine because we try to give her oatmeal mixed with milk or yogurt everyday, and cheese, so he says her dairy intake is fine.

NO
- do they drink either a bottle or sippy cup of milk bed?
NO, we only give water before bed (if she wants it) and don't offer drinks in the middle of the night.

Ds did drink from a dippy cup but it was slow going and we had to try a million and one different cups.

I never do organic.

He still had a bottle here and there at that age.

He never had one in bed. Not something I wanted to get in the habit of.

I still breastfeed my 14 month old so she has not had cows milk yet.

With my other two, they drank organic milk from a bottle until 20 months and 2.5 years. They did drink milk before bed at that age. Probably not the best practice but no cavities or sleep issues now at 4 and 5.

I maybe the wrong to answer this. I feel with my DD, because she was our 2nd I didn’t follow any of the rules I did with my son. DD Is 14 months old.
- does your baby drink milk from sippy cup? NO, but I wish she would. She drinks water from one.
- do you give whole milk and is it organic? We use organic soy milk, bc regular milk and organic whole milk was giving her these god awful diaper rashes that wouldn’t go away.
- how many oz a day on avg? She has 3 ( 6-8 oz bottles a day)
- are they still on a bottle or BFing at all? Still on the bottle
- do they drink either a bottle or sippy cup of milk bed? Yes she drinks milk before bed, but she gets her bottle at 730-800, we brush teeth then she’s in bed at 830

DD is 14 months. I give her organic whole milk. She won't drink it from a sippy, so she still gets bottles. She drinks about 22 oz per day- two 8 oz bottles, morning and yup-before bed, and one 6 oz bottle in the afternoon, which she doesn't always finish.

- do you give whole milk and is it organic? Yes, only Organic. I used the chart http://www.cornucopia.org/dairysurvey/

- how many oz a day on avg? 12-15 ish oz.

- are they still on a bottle or BFing at all? They just gave up their bottle. I was doing 1/2 and 1/2 formula for a good month or so.

- do they drink either a bottle or sippy cup of milk bed? No they stopped wanting this feeding awhile ago.

Do what works for you! As long as they're healthy and growing

yes. it took a little while but I found holding her as if we were giving a bottle helped tremendously.

yes whole milk, they need the fats. usually I buy organic but it's pricey. you probably won't save money if you are switching from formula.

Her milk consumption has dropped since her first birthday. at 13.5 months I'd say 16-20oz on average.

- are they still on a bottle or BFing at all?

We bought a bottle that you can switch from a nipple to a nuby sippy nipple. She takes the sippy nipple every time now.

No bottles in bed. We give milk before bed but downstairs with us. Then we bring her to bed when she is ready.

14 months here.
she does not drink her milk from a sippy but will drink water.
i give organic whole milk
she has 3 6-8 oz bottles per day
still on the bottle, obviously.
has her last bottle around 6, bedtime is around 7, 730.

- do you give whole milk and is it organic? We only drink organic milk and she drinks organic whole milk.
- how many oz a day on avg? She is a big milk drinker about 20 oz a day.

- do they drink either a bottle or sippy cup of milk before bed? She drinks 6oz bottle before bed. Hoping to get her off it this month. She will be 18 months. She doesn't get anything in bed or over night anymore.

nope... I haven't tried, but, she barely drinks water from one

she takes 3 formula bottles a day. morning is 8-10oz, afternoon is 2oz, bedtime is 8oz

she gets an 8oz bottle right before bed

dd will be 13 months next week... she had a milk allergy and even though I've gotten the go ahead to try to wean her to milk, I just haven't felt comfortable trying yet

19 months now but DD drinks from a straw cup. She has organic soymilk, occasionally regular but always gmo free at least. Stopped nursing at 16 months and drinks anywhere from 5 to 15 ounces of soymilk a day. One cup when she wakes up and one before bed. I usually have to hold her and the cup (in the morning while she watches elmo and at night while we read books). She drinks best when she's distracted! She also has cheese and/or yogurt every day.

Yes, she drinks milk from a sippy cup (straw kind).

Yes, organic whole milk.

She drinks only 1 cup a day (spread out throughout the day), so I think that's about 9 oz.

We're down to 1 BF session a day (morning after waking up).

No milk before bed.

ETA: DD is 13.5 mos.

Dd has been drinking water from a straw since about 9 months and started taking milk a through a straw at 12 months.

I've been giving her 2% since that's what I buy for me and Dh but since dh actually prefers whole I will probably start buying that for him and dd. Not sure if its organic but its hormone free.

Only about 4-6 oz bc I'm still BFing

Still BFing 5-6 times a day. She hasn't drank from a bottle since about 8 months when she started pushing them away. Now its either BF or straw cup.

- do they drink either a bottle or sippy cup of milk before bed?
I BF her before bed.
