Homemade Baby Food

DS has been eating baby food for a few months now and I would like to start making it on my own.

So far, I have tried peas, sweet potato and avocado. For the peas and sweet potato, I cooked and then pureed in a blender. For the avocado, I just mashed it up and added a little water.

He hated all three. Am I doing something wrong? He loves the baby food in the containers.

might be a consistency thing - try mushing up the food even more so there aren't any lumps.

You could also try mixing 1/2 jar and 1/2 homemade food until he gets used to it.

Good luck!

This. When my kids were babies they didn't want to work to hard @ eating...they likes foods thinned out and smooth

We purée everything. She likes it thick and smooth. Mashed she looks at me like I'm an idiot.

Did you add water to the peas and sweet potato as well? I always thinned them out otherwise it may be too thick.

I pureed them and added water. I will try them all again, but wasn't sure if I was missing anything.

Thank you everyone!
