Leap Frog Books Help
I would like to get one of the Leap Frog reading systems for my DS for Christmas. He is only 2.5, but has a speech delay and I would like to encourage more vocabulary and reading. I am so confused by all the options. there is read with me scout, the leap reader and the leap readerjunior and the leap frog tag.
anyone have any experience with these products? which would you recommend? also, how expensive are the books to add on? is it worth it?. i also have a 4.5 DD who would use it too probably, but this is really for him.

Don't get the tag jr. It is awful. We have the regular tag and my kids really liked it. I think they make a new one that also helps with writing a reading but I have no personal experience with it. I would look at that one for both of your kids. I think the books for the tag and the tag writer are the same except for some workbooks.

we are picking up the Leap Reader for my son for Christmas but he will be 4 in May and is already sight reading a few words and beginning to write. I think the Leap Reader may be a bit advanced for a 2.5 year old BUUTT he would grow into it.
Go with Tag. Tag books can also be used with the Leap Reader so you can buy that system in the future and use the same books.

We are getting the LeapReader for DS as well - he's 4. But I believe they now have a LeapReader Jr too. I think the LeapReader series is like the new Tag and Tag Jr.
