Christening Party (Yet Again)

Okay so my guest list is 125 people
No one in Queens has a room big enough or if they do the date is booked

Here are my quesitons

Has anyone ever been to Rocco's Catering in East Rockaway... before i even call there

Coral House has the date open ... has anyone been there? How is it

Any other halls/places you can think of that can fit 100/125 that are not too far from Queens where the church is.

Thanks a ton

The Inn at New Hyde Park
Floral Terrace
Sand Castle

Edit to add Ill Bacco in Little Neck, they have a big party room that might accommodate your party

Have you checked with Verdis in Whitestone?
Also, I was recently at Riccardos in Astoria and it was pretty good. I know they have a bunch of different rooms.
I just went to a party at Giandos in Brooklyn- which was also very good. Not sure where in Queens you are and if that would work.
Il Bacco is amazing food and they have a room, but may be expensive.

I personally was not a fan of Coral House when I went, but that was about 5 years ago- it may have changed.

Il Baco is booked that day :(
Abbracciamento was very strange when I called ... the lady was very upset that I was taking up 2 rooms in the middle of the day because I wanted to start like 3 or 4 pm and not 6 pm on a Sunday

Douglaston manor

Not sure who you spoke to at vetro. They advertise as being able to accommodate 150. I attended an event with at least 100 people. Also keep in mind not all 125 people will attend. There is usually a 20% decline rate.

What about that new place, Patrizia's, that used to be Valentino's on the Green (and before that, Caffe on the Green)?

It's gone.
In its place is Vivaldi.

Pompeii in West Hempstead
Verdi's in Westbury or Whitestone
Matteo's in Howard Beach (or is it ozone park)

Alias Smith and Jones- food isn't like any of the places above. thumbs down

Re: Christening Party (Yet Again)

I agree with the others who said the food at the Coral House isn't good. Neither is Alias Smith and Jones, unfortunately. Sorry and good luck!

I would really go to Abbracciamento and talk to someone. It's totally worth it, they have plenty of rooms and rooms that open up into a bigger or smaller place. The food was also sooo good, dont be turned off by whoever answered the phone, its your decision to have a party at whatever time u want--Id really give it another shot.
