How many outfits for 1st bday?
We are doing a cake smash and having a first birthday party. How many outfits did you have? I'm thinking a cute cake smash outfit then her good outfit but Dh thinks I'm crazy.

How many outfits for 1st bday?
Cake smash i just did diaper cover and bday hat. Portraits and bday partyshe wore the same dress. Techinically its 2 outfits.
The cake gets everywhere so i personally wouldnt want her to wear her bday dress.
I also bought a shirt that said my first bday which she wore the day of her bday because the party was a few days before.

She will wear a formal birthday dress for some photos, and then a birthday tee and tutu (both hand me down so nothing I paid for just to get ruined!) for the cake smash. I personally feel uncomfortable with girls w/o a top on so a tee shirt was a must for me. She can wear the shirt again after her party when we are just hanging out and opening presents so if it gets stained, no big deal!

How many outfits for 1st bday?
DD wore a nice dress for her party and a comfy cotton dress she already had on her actual birthday (we didn't really have much planned since it was the day after her party). We did a diy cake smash and she just wore a pink onesie we already had with tutu someone had given her for xmas and a bow and bracelet she already had as well. In the past she was freaked out by the tutu so I also bought a dress at Once Upon a child for two or three dollars as a back up. So a few outfits but I really only bought one new one.

The first time I went to put it on her I happened to be on the phone with my mil and she started screaming like i had never heard before. She was terrified and clung to me so hard and my poor mil thought she must have seriously hurt herself. I had to hide the thing bc she'd tense up whenever she saw it. Fast forward six months and she's obsessed with tutus and would wear one 24/7 if she could!
