Foods to eat for milk supply
I am newly pregnant. When I had dd I didn't produce enough milk. Now this time around I want to try to see if there is anything I can do starting now to encourage milk production. Thanks.

Re: Foods to eat for milk supply
I took fenugreek capsules when Dd was 6 months old bc I noticed a dip in supply. BUT you can't take Fenugreek while pregnant...it can cause labor/contractions I believe.
They say oatmeal is a great food to eat. And stay hydrated...drink tons of water.
The best advice for building supply in the beginning is to nurse as much as possible. The baby will be the best at triggering your body to make more milk. If supply was an issue last time, I'd make sure the baby was on your boob around the clock in the first weeks, until you have an established supply.
Good luck!!

There is a recipe online for cookies that is supposed to work. I've also heard oatmeal and dark beer.

I take Fenugreek and More Milk Plus bc I need to provide for 2 babies, but I always found that drinking lots and lots of water helped my supply more than anything!
