Yeah I noticed that earlier but I was hoping to put it on my registry and I don't have a BBB one. It's just so strange that suddenly BBB is the only store that has it now.

You can add something from Buy Buy baby to your amazon registry. All you need to do is download the amazon app to your tool bar- the wish list page has the link for the download. It allows you to add items from any website to your registry.

Yeah I ended up doing that. I'm so disappointed though! The other day Amazon had it for $202 and MIL was going to get it for us! Now it's $290 at BBB. Maybe she can use a coupon...

Re: Angelcare Monitor
just a FYI...I know you weren't asking for opinions but the angelcare monitors go off CONSTANTLY! lot's of false alarms. If I had kept it I would never have slept and it didn't give me piece of mind bc i knew it always went off so it actually made me more stressed.

Re: Angelcare Monitor
we had the 3in1 and did not like it. The set up didnt work for us because of the way the wires were. So we got the wireless Motorola video monitor (LOVE!!!) and just the motion detector angelcare for under the crib mattress.

I've heard this too. The alarms are too sensitive and defeat the purpose.
We opted for a regular video monitor bc DD slept in our room in the bassinet until 6 months anyway, and then I checked on her in person a zillion times/night.

Re: Angelcare Monitor
I had the Angelcare with my 1st DS and loved it. Gave me great peace of mind. I think we only had 2 false alarms and we used it his entire 1st year. The false alarms were because DS moved too far away from the sensor so we just increased the sensitivity. Problem solved. Took my Angelcare out of storage for DS2 but had messed up one of the parent units. When I called Graco about it they told me that the rights to Angelcare had been purchased and the decision was made to discontinue production.(something along those lines, it was a few months ago that i called)

Re: Angelcare Monitor
I had the angel care monitor (just movement and sound - no video) for DD #1.
The alarm did go off a few times unwarranted, but only within the first few weeks of when she first was placed on crib. Once we realized the position of the monitor needed to be moved, it didn't happen. As she got older and could sit up, we turned off the movement sensor and just used it as a regular monitor and we have loved it.
BRU didn't carry it when I had DD, so we had to register for it at BBB. Amazon is another good place to check - also maybe wait for cyber Monday!

I really want the movement alarm. Besides the false alarms, I've read so many reviews from people saying that it saved their child's life by detecting when they weren't breathing.

we had it and i loved having the peace of mind. There were three times the alarm went off .. she moved too far off the pad .. but Id rather have the false alarm then no alarm IMO.

Re: Angelcare Monitor
i know you really didnt ask but...
i have this... yes the alarm has gone off a few times unwarranted, (once i was standing over baby watching the legs kick so i know all was fine) but once it went off and baby's face was on the edge of bassinet... real? maybe but i was happy none the less. WITH THAT SAID
i do not like this machine. it takes WAY too long or loud sounds to pick up. if you are hoping to get to a baby fast so they dont REALLY wake up you will not be happy. the sound has to be really loud or for a fair amount of time before being picked up. plus i can get over the grainy video, i mean i really dont need HD quality, but it cant be angled so it was hard to position to be useful.
just my unsolicited 2 cents

here is another option... a friend recommended the snuza alarm that you put in the babys diaper...this way you dont have to worry about them moving to far from the sensor. her biggest problem with it was that she had to remember to take if off the diaper at each change. she did have a few false alarms with it though

Re: Angelcare Monitor
Crashing and I know you didn't ask for a review but I love my angelcare monitors I have two of them. Yes I've had a few false alarms but they gave me peace of mind. I was so crazy worried when we took our first dd home. We tested the alarm many times and it goes off in exactly 30 seconds without movement. We still use it now and my girls are 18 months and 3 years. I use it to know if they climb out of their bed or cribs. I also had the snooza alarm that clipped to the infant diaper and that was also great for when they slept in the rock n play.

I've looked into this one. I think I'm going to register for it along with the motorola.
Thanks!

Just read an article today that it was recalled. Two babies were strangled by the cord that goes under the mattress.

My friend has it and said the same thing. Once they can start moving around they roll off the pad. That's at about 4 months mind you.
